I need a new catalytic converter and two oxygen sensors for my '98 GSR. The cost is astronomical at my mechanic's place and that's WITHOUT a mark-up. ($450 + $250 +$250 !!!) I can find catalytic converters on-line for '94 and '95 GSRs but not for anything newer. Does anyone know why?
Also, I was told I could go to a muffler shop and have a universal catalytic converter installed. Will this do anything to my engine since it is not OEM equipment?
I don't think any of that equipment changed from 95 but i could be wrong, I'm not sure
