THE COMPLETE STORY:
This was my personal ride for the last 3 years. Bought the car with 112k and an overheated engine. Put new engine in with around 60k on it, new radiator, diagnostics, tuneup, timing belt, water pump, thermostat - all done shortly after purchase.
Repainted the whole car to a Nissan OEM Green/Gray Mettalic with gold flakes.
Put 17" Konig Opal Blatants with 215/45-17 rubber. Replaced all 4 rotors, brake master cylinder, brakes, tranny mount, 4x tranny flush with Honda ATF.
Put in a full quality Aluminum Dash Trim - very reflective, not matte. Inverse blue/green instrument panel installed(only the symbols light up, not the whole thing), with the aluminum dash bezel. Black interior looks hot with the above. Steering wheel has a dual tone(black/grey) real leather cover, which I stiched on painstakingly(is that a word?)
Installed OEM TL radio with in dash CD, 200 watt amp for speakers under passenger seat, all Pioneer 3-way speakers, small 400watt Pioneer sub enclosure with amp in the trunk. Custom sport antenna installed instead of the factory automatic(problematic) one.
Also installed is a Viper alarm system with the autostarter
PROBLEMS:
-Small bend in the rear rim, tire looses pressure to around 15 psi within 7-10 days. Very minor vibration at highway speeds.
-The CD player stopped reading CDs after hitting the bump which damaged the rim. I use the tape workaround.
-Replaced main relay before, but recently it starts acting up again. No biggie, $50 solution.
-Minor steering wheel vibration + pulls to the left. Mechanic said power steering needs work. Quoted a $170 part+labor for the complete rack and pinion. It could be that you need to just replace the tierods. Brake pads also attribute as I used the cheap ones last time. I've been driving like this for 6 months with no problem and no increase in severety.
-Minor damage on the front bumper and driver fender after a very close call with a Caprice, which could have been much worse. Look at the pictures to see it's no big deal.
Remember the 144k is the tranny, while the engine is at around 80-90k now.
Have 2 cars, one is financed, so selling the Legend.
