| ok, i have a 1990 integra GS. I swapped out the stock motor for a '94-'97 Japanese spec b18b1 motor (LS) ...ordered straight from japan. I exchanged both the intake and exaust manifolds from my other motor to my new one. The problem is i dont have a steady idle. It runs but the idle jumps constantly from 1000 rpm to 3500 rpm. Then the engine light comes on, so i know it must be electrical. Has anyone else had this problem. Its driving me nuts and i dont know what to do. HELP!!! |

Its a common problem with your MAP sensor. I had the same problem a while back ontop of a bunch of other things. It could also be that your wiring harness isn't hooked up right. _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti |

I just changed the thermostat on my ex-wife's car and this problem started up. Where is the throttle position sensor located?
Sidney
EDIT::::
I got it. One of the hoses that I disconnected was not fitting properly. |
