Ok everyone I'm probaly going to feel stupid after this . I searched every where and couldn't find anything about my problem.
My door locks have been jamming lately. They decide when they want to open on there own. Every time I drive it with the doors locked they don't want to unlock when I get out. I took the door skins off to check for any bent rods or anything binding couldn't find anything wrong. Took some lithium grease and sprayed all over the inside the latch and around where the rods go. It worked for about a week and then it went back to fucking up and has got even worse than it was.
Has any one else ran into this problem before? If so do you know where the problem is.
So, is it a random problem or is it all the time? I just want to make sure I have this right, they jam when you are in the car, effectively locking yourself in the car. Is it the door that is jamming or is it the actual locking mechanism.
The reason i ask is b/c I might have a similar problem w/ my 97 integra. I live in Florida and sometimes the temp. changes so quickly in the morning that the temp difference between the ambient air and the air inside my car is great enough to create a sort of vacuum (difference in pressure) which causes the doors to feel like they are stuck even if they aren't locked. A crack of the window and they open and close like butter.
