A few months ago I was driving my 1999 Acura Integra and the check engine light came on. I took it to the shop and they checked it out and told me it was because the gas cap was not on tight enough. Well it came on again this morning and I checked the gas cap and sure enough I forgot to tighten it down when I put gas in it the other day.
Does anyone know how I can reset the check engine light with out taking it in to the shop?

remove your back up fuse (7.5A) for 10 seconds while the car is off [its under your hood fuse box]. That will reset your ecm.

or you can just disable your battery for 10 seconds, then if you have the stock cd player you will have to enter your 5 digit security code.
