|
I have a 97 2.5 TL and have a fault code of P0135 (O2 heater circuit malfunction).
Before I spend hundreds of $$$ on the sensor(s), is there any way to tell
1) if one is bad and
2) which one is bad.
Thanks in advance

reset your ecm... make sure the code comes back. An occasional failure is not that big a deal. If it does come back, you could test it by measuring resistance between the 4P connector & No. 3 & 4 terminals.
How good are u with electric circutry? _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti |

Thanks,
I have reset the code and it is a hard fault. It comes back immediately when reset and restart the car.
I'm good with electronics. All I need to do is find this thing....and the connector. Any ideas?
Also is the primary on the one on the manifold (before the catalytic converter....also what should the resistance be?
Thanks again,

I was also reading about the high input impedence on the o3 sensor and will need to be careful if measuring te resistance. Can I just do the voltage measurement and check for 0 to 1 volt on the when the temp reaches above 600 degrees?
I just need to find the thing and the connector if the wire goes into a harness. I must be looking right at it and cant find it. Also I've found parts which cost from $ 59 without the connector to $272. Im thinking of buying Walker 250-24391 for $96.99 which comes with the connector from oxygensensors.com.... it is the best price for one with the harness,.
Thanks,
Mark |
