Hey guys,
I recently replaced my rear brake pads and disks on my CL at a local garage place. My rear caliper pin was stuck and he had thought to hammer it or expose it to heat in order to loosen it... A few days after, I noticed that my ABS light indicator would turn ON from time to time and remain on until I turned off the car. Sometimes, it wouldn't turn on... I went back to ask him about it, he checked the code and it was code 17 and 18. Blue wire left rear wheel (shortcircuit or censor open). I found it strange that this would happen (pb with rear ABS) after I changed my rear brakes. He refuses to link this to what he did and he says that I might need to buy new ABS censor. The mechanic says that the ABS wires look good and it must be that my censor has pbs coincidently... No connection to the job he did on the brakes.... Any clues? or past experience to shed some light on this?
I had a similar problem with my ABS when i did some front end work. I haven't got around to fixing it yet. if the sensor or its lines were moved, that could cause a problem. I'll let u know when i go to fix that. _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti
So your ABS light turns ON intermittently? Please let me know what codes you get and how you fixed it (once you get to fix it). My codes are 17 and 18 (Blue wire short-circuited or circuit open on left rear wheel) and grey wire ... (something similar to first one). I'll let you know of any progress
