How much less money are you thinking of? Swapping in a VTEC head is a nice reliable bump in hp. You gotta love those LS VTEC motors! _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti |

| I was actually thinking of putting on a vtech. My friend said he could get one and put it on for $245. I had a question though, someone told me that bolting on a vtech can burn out the motor. please help |

I've read that the swap requires a few things like - new VTEC oil slingers, as not to burn up u're new motor. I can't think of everything right now... anyone else have any tips? _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. ~ Mario Andretti |

LS/ Vtec isn't all that reliable unless you can spend the money to make sure everything is done right. I started researching this a long time ago, and found that it's more cost effective to either do a complete build on my B18B or just do a turbo. Do a search about LS/Vtec on google or another search engine and read about all the horror stories of doing it "cheap". Good reliable horsepower isn't going to be cheap, and that's the bottom line. _________________ DC4's are the shizzle!!
No, you don't need a fuel rail! Unless you are pushing some crazy numbers!! |
