You are getting a DTC code of P0420 (67), right ?
Lets look at some possible causes
1. Three way Catalytic convereter (TWC) deteropration
2. Exhaust system leakage
Reset your ecm and drive it alittle to make sure that the code comes back... if it doesnt you're fine. If it does check and replace your TWC _________________ If you feel like you're in control, you're not going fast enough. - Mario Andretti |

Thanks.. I also called an acura repair shop and they said it was
probably a bad O2 sensor. Do you buy this? They want $305 to
replace it. I would hate to spend $305 if it's not the problem. I
hope its not the Catalytic converter, that sounds real pricey to
replace..

Is there any way to test the O2 sensor or do I just need to replace it
if the cat converter tests out ok?
If the cat converter is ok, it sounds like I can ignore the light for
a while since a bad 02 sensor isn't hurting anything. I mean if it's
job is to report on the cat converter and the converter is fine then
the sensor is not doing anything neccessary to run the car. |
